9 Months
9 Months is such a fun age Gracie! You are sleeping through the night which is a dream come true for your parents! You absolutely love our door stops. Mommy doesn't know how you figured out to pull them all off. You'll just drag them around with you wherever you go! You are trying to walk with your walker but don't seem to have too much interest in that just yet. You are also trying to climb the stairs. We don't really want you to figure that one out just yet.. You love taking pictures with mama and you LOVE to watch tv. Especially shows with lots of music. Daniel Tiger is still your number one choice. You love to eat especially if we are eating in front of you. You'll try anything! (Even if it doesn't look that way in the picture!) You still want to nurse every two hours. Finally you say mama! You stopped scooting around when you realized you could just crawl normal! You LOVE to get into the tupperware cupboard and pull everything out! And to mommy's excitement your hair is long enough for a cute little pony tail! Cant believe you are 3/4 of the way to a YEAR! We love you Gracie girl!

8 Months was a big one!
Eight months Gracie Girl!! You hit a few major mile stones on this one! We can't believe how fast you are growing up, but we are loving every second of it! You love your independence and although we wish you didn't sometimes, I'll admit it's pretty great!
At this point in time, you are teething! We certainly do wish you were the kid who just one day had some teeth in your mouth without even seeing it coming, but alas that was not the case. We had a full blown cranky, snotty, feverish, child on our hands. Mama knew right away what was going on. You had a few nights with fevers of 101-102 and kept both of your parents up most of the night while you screamed and screamed and there wasn't a thing we could do to calm you down! On the plus side, it did make you a little bit more cuddly!
You started falling asleep in our arms for a little bit there and sometimes just wanted to be cuddled and nothing else. You have become a little more of a daddy's girl, but still prefer mama when you are really sad or tired. One night you didn't want to lay down in your bed so mom just held you and you eventually fell asleep in her arms. She was so tired and waited so patiently until you fell asleep so she could just lay you down and get on with her night, but the second you fell asleep all she wanted to do was hold you and watch you sweetly sleep. Those moments don't come around very often so you better believe we hold on to every second of them!
Thank goodness you are starting to sleep through the night again! You finally did 3 nights in a row right before Christmas and that was heaven sent! Mom had been complaining to just about everyone about how tired she was and how badly she wished she could get just ONE night of uninterrupted sleep and hallelujah not two nights later you did it! We had 3 months of sleepless nights and now you are doing much better! You have also been doing a lot better ever since we got into our own home and you are back in your crib!
You finally figured out how to clap on your own! We don't know how you picked up on it because we hardly ever do it, but you did! It is so much fun to see how excited you get at such simple things!
You figured out how to pull yourself up on things! It started with the dishwasher. Mom and Dad left it open and much to our surprise we found you standing up pulling silverware out of the dishwasher! Then mom caught you standing in your crib! We then watched you pull yourself up onto the couch, coffee table, into the cupboards, entertainment center, and everything else you could reach! What a fun thing to watch you figure out that you could do that!
You can now feed yourself puffs, yogurt bites, and graham crackers. You pick them up and do a great job of getting them right in your mouth without dropping them! (Along with many other things you really shouldn't be eating)
You have been able to sit up by yourself for 2 months now, but you finally figured out how to go from laying down to sitting up without us helping you! You become more independent all of the time! However, with that said, you do NOT like to be set down. Even if we are in the same room you want us to hold you and never leave your sight. Mom can't get anything done unless you are napping, but she loves to play with you so it's okay!
FINALLY cut your first tooth! After all of that hard work you did teething, it came through! It is a sharp one so you better not learn how to bite!
Last but certainly not least, you had your very first Christmas and boy was it a good one for each and every one of us! Its amazing how Christmas can get even better when you have kids! Mom couldn't start opening presents without you there, so she got you up and you were so happy all morning! You loved opening presents and crawling around with all of the wrapping paper! You now love playing with all of your toys in the corner of our living room and mom and dad really love playing with them too!
Mama has loved watching you grow and learn these few months and always looked forward to the next stage, but she is finally at the point now where she wants to FREEZE time! You are at such a fun age and we don't want you to grow up! But, I'm sure we will love the next few weeks, months, and years with you just as much as the ones right now! Love you baby girl! -Mama bear

7 Months
Doing a little catch up today as we have been extremely busy the last few months. We have been watching the progress of our home go up as well as caring for our baby girl and taking all of the steps for first time home buyers! I can happily say that we are in! It felt like our home took a whole year to get finished even though it was only about 5 months. I am now sitting in our beautiful living room, cozied up on the couch while my baby is napping in her crib and watching it snow like crazy.
We had the best Christmas I think I have ever had. We all got spoiled beyond belief and to have a baby light up at the Christmas tree and presents was the best gift of all! We are feeling especially grateful this Christmas season for all that we have, and most of all for the people we have in our lives!

Gracie's highlights at 7 months old...
- Started waving to people out of no where! We still aren't sure how she picked up on that
- Now eating puffs (she loves them!)
- Gets shy around strangers and cuddles up to mom and dad
- "Talking" all the time! She is definitely a girl!
- Reaching for people
- Knows what kisses are and will lick your face
- She licks anything and everything she can (walls, furniture, you name it!)
- Has said "mama" twice (probably by accident)
- Says "dada" non stop
- Standing up on furniture (When we stand her up)
- Can finally put her binki in by herself on a regular basis
- She is our 2 hour girl. Always has been! Naps every 2 hours (for 2 hours) & eats every 2 hours

Half way to a year
Gracie Girl-
How is my little tiny girl half way to ONE!? It sure is crazy how fast you are growing up, but how fun it has been!! Gracie girl you are our entire world. Right now we don't know how it is going to be possible to love other children as much as we love you! We also can't remember what life was like before you and wouldn't ever want to go back! You have made our lives worth living and we are trying to be better for you each day.
You hit 6 months on October 13, 2014. At your doctors appointment you weighed in at 13 pounds on the dot. What a bitty baby. About a week later you finally figured out how to move! You have been scooting everywhere ever since and we are sure you will start crawling any time now! It took you until 6 1/2 months to sit up by yourself and you still tip over on occasion but don't seem to mind too much. You experienced your first pumpkin patch and corn maze. You enjoyed your first Halloween dressed as a cow. Your costume was size 0-3 month! What a tiny little thing you are! Your cousin Jacey wore it her first Halloween at only a month and a half old! We took you to the park and who knew you would just scream in laughter on those swings!? You loved it. Can't wait for next summer when I can take you to play there all of the time. You are still loving putting everything imaginable into your mouth, you are trying new foods each week, but you mostly just nurse still and that is the way you and mom prefer it. A little after 5 months you stopped sleeping through the night [what the heck!?] and have gotten progressively worse as time goes on. You now wake up 2-3 times a night and demand to nurse to fall back asleep even if you aren't hungry. We are getting tired... very tired... so we have let you cry it out a few times and you can cry for a REALLY long time... Your favorite toys are your sock monkey and elephant, and you still like to play in your swing but won't sleep in it anymore. You are not a fan of the cold weather and got sick for the first time which made all of us very sad.

Where did my baby go!?
In my last post I expressed how excited I was to watch Gracie grow and learn new things. I am still so excited for it all and I have loved her growing up so far and seeing all of the things she can do on her own now! However, I look at her and think 'where did my baby go!?' It seems like just yesterday I was snuggling this little newborn, and now she hardly snuggles with us! How has it already been 5 months?
The last few months have been so much fun for our little family! We had moved to Sandy 5 days before Gracie joined us and had a fun summer there, but we were constantly up in Bountiful to spend time with family. So, we decided it was time for a house and we knew we wanted to be close to our families. In August, we moved in with my parents while our home is being built in North Salt Lake. It has been so much fun watching the progress each week, but we are so ready to be in it finally! We are expected be in around December this year.
A few things about our Gracie girl..
I honestly have nothing to complain about with this baby of mine. In our eyes she is perfect in every single way! She hardly cries, is so happy, and is the best thing that has ever happened to us! We love our Gracie girl more than anything in the world!

A few things about our Gracie girl..
Started eating rice cereal at about 4 1/2 months
She is a super great eater, both nursing and cereal
She is a super great eater, both nursing and cereal
She LOVES watching football with her daddy. She is just glued
when its on and Jett loves that she will just sit with him while they watch
Meeting baby Hayden for the first time
Here they are again. Hayden 1 month old. Grace 5 months old...
She obviously doesn't know we don't eat our friends..
A little bit destructive..
Just happy
She is laughing out loud all of the time and smiles at just about anything.
Also loves to take showers with her daddy
Weighing a whopping 12 lbs at 5 months old (barely on the charts)
Learning to sit up, can't quite stay up on her own yet
Wants to put her mouth on EVERYTHING. Don't worry, we give her the good stuff!!
Sleeping on average 12 hours a night plus 2 or 3 good naps during the day.. and obviously likes her face to be covered while she sleeps. I think I have more sleeping pictures than I do awake ones...
The only way to get her to fall asleep in my arms is if I feed her when she is tired. Then I just hold her until my arm falls asleep or until she wakes up. Those are my favorite moments!
She LOVES her swing! Loves to play with toys in it and puts her to sleep pretty quick as well
Unfortunately she doesn't like to cuddle with us anymore, but at least she will put herself to sleep if we lay her down! She will still fall asleep anywhere which is so nice!
She LOVES tummy time. Since about 2 months old if we lay her on her back she flips right over to her tummy and could stay there for hours! Also loves playing with her cousin Jeffers
She has been trying to crawl since about 4 months but just can't quite figure it out yet
Gracie loves to go on walks in her stroller
Thinks she is a big girl
Eats her toes any chance she gets!
I honestly have nothing to complain about with this baby of mine. In our eyes she is perfect in every single way! She hardly cries, is so happy, and is the best thing that has ever happened to us! We love our Gracie girl more than anything in the world!
